to photocopy or make multiple electronic copies of the article for the author's own personal use, including for the author's own classroom use, or for the personal use of colleagues, provided those copies are not offered for sale and are not distributed in a systematic way outside of the employing institution;
to use part of the author's article for any scholarly or academic purpose such as use for instructional purposes or incorporation as part of another and different publication where the copyrighted article may be desired for illustration or explanation provided lawful notice of copyright is given;
to use all of part of the article for lecture or class room purposes;

Any teaching or tutoring including lecturing or classroom use by an institution

When moving to other institutions academics would like to use their articles in the subsequent institutions where they are working. This provisions state that.

the author and any academic institution where he/she works at the time may reproduce the contribution for the purpose of teaching;

If this provision can't be inserted in the publishing agreement one of the following provisions could help: The author retains the right:

to make multiple photocopies of articles for class room use by other non-profit educational institutions;
to use the author's own article for the internal educational or other purposes of the author's own institution or company;

Course packs

The author retains the right:

to reproduce the article for the purpose of course teaching;
after publication by the publisher, to use all or part of the article without revision or modification, including the publisher's formatted version, in print compilations or other print publications of the author(s)' and or the employer's own works;

Distance learning and teaching/E-learning environment restricted to registered students

The author retains the right:

to use his/her article for internal educational or other purposes of the author's own institution;
to reproduce by any means for educational and scientific purposes by the author or others without fee or permission;
